Capture the Beacon

CTB, Capture the beacon, es un juego al estilo de "Capture the Flag", creado para celebrar el 3er aniversario de Darkorbit.

Este juego de empresas consiste en recuperar un dispositivo llamado Beacon, que se encuentra en mapas enemigos, y llevarlo de vuelta a los mapas de la propia empresa, y evitar que el enemigo recupere las suyas.

En el mapa X-2 de cada empresa hay una zona marcada en la que se encuentran dos balizas (Beacons) de empresas enemigas. Estas deben protegerse.
Al mismo tiempo, hay que robar tus propias balizas de los mapas enemigos X-2.
Tan pronto como tu empresa consiga llevar las balizas propias a su zona y proteger las valizas que posee del enemigo, recibirá un punto.

Nota: para ganar el punto, una empresa debe recuperar sus dos valizas en los X-2 enemigos, y las valizas enemigas que están en el mapa X-2 de la propia empresa, no deben haber sido recuperadas por el enemigo.

El portador de la baliza aparecerá marcado en el minimapa y no dispondrá durante este tiempo de protección de ataques. Asimismo, el portador de una baliza perderá el camuflaje, si tiene, y no podrá usar las CPU de salto a base. El resultado de puntos y las posiciones de las balizas se ven en el mapa estelar durante el juego.

El premio por ganar, suele ser algún tipo de bono para la empresa, dependiendo de como se haya establecido para esa ronda del juego en cuestión.
